TechPillar Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of website design, development, maintenance, and related services by TechPillar (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By purchasing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Website Packages & Payment

1.1. Website Packages (Essential, Elite, Titan) are provided on a subscription basis using Framer as the website builder platform.
1.2. Each package requires:

• A one-off setup fee (due upfront before work begins).
  
  
  

• A monthly subscription fee (billed automatically each month).
  1.3. The setup fee is non-refundable once work has commenced.
  1.4. The monthly subscription covers the hosting, access to the Framer platform, and continued availability of your website.
  1.5. Subscriptions run on a rolling monthly basis after the initial 12 months unless cancelled in line with section 5.
  
  
  

2. Maintenance Plans

2.1. Maintenance Plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) are optional add-on services billed monthly.
2.2. Maintenance plans cover only the scope listed in your chosen plan (e.g. updates, backups, security monitoring).
2.3. “Small updates” are defined as content changes taking under 30 minutes. Larger work will be quoted separately.
2.4. Maintenance services commence once your website is live.

3. One-Off Updates & Add-Ons

3.1. One-off updates and enhancements are charged as per the rates listed on our pricing page.
3.2. A formal quote will be provided for larger or custom work before we begin.
3.3. Emergency update requests may incur an additional surcharge.
3.4. Add-ons (e.g. booking system, SEO, analytics) may require third-party accounts or subscriptions (e.g. Google, Mailchimp, payment providers). You are responsible for maintaining and paying for those third-party services.

4. Ownership & Platform

4.1. Websites are built using Framer, a third-party website builder. By purchasing a package, you agree to Framer’s own terms of service and licensing.
4.2. While we design and maintain your website, ownership of the Framer account and content remains with TechPillar unless otherwise agreed.
4.3. If you wish to transfer ownership of your website/account, additional transfer fees may apply.
4.4. Some features may require paid Framer subscriptions or integrations with external services. These costs are not included unless specifically listed in your package.

5. Term, Renewals & Cancellations

5.1. Website packages require a minimum 12-month subscription from the date your site goes live.
5.2. After 12 months, subscriptions continue on a rolling monthly basis unless cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
5.3. Early cancellation within the 12-month term requires payment of the remaining balance.
5.4. Maintenance plans and add-ons can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
5.5. Cancellation of your subscription or failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of your website from Framer.

6. Payments

6.1. All fees are payable in GBP (£) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
6.2. Payments are taken via direct debit, card, or another agreed method.
6.3. Late or failed payments may result in suspension of services until resolved.
6.4. We reserve the right to increase monthly subscription or maintenance fees with 30 days’ notice.

7. Liability & Warranties

7.1. We will use reasonable care and skill in providing our services.
7.2. We are not liable for:

• Loss of business, profits, or data.
  
  
  

• Issues caused by third-party software, hosting providers, or integrations.
  
  
  

• Downtime caused by Framer or other third parties.
  7.3. Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 6 months prior to the claim.
  
  
  

8. Client Responsibilities

8.1. You are responsible for providing all required content (text, images, logos, etc.) in a timely manner.
8.2. You confirm you hold the legal rights to use all content provided.
8.3. You must keep your login details, passwords, and accounts secure.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1. All custom design work created by TechPillar remains our intellectual property until full payment of all fees has been received.
9.2. Once paid, you are granted a licence to use the website as intended.
9.3. You may not resell, redistribute, or duplicate our work without prior written consent.

10. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated via email or published on our website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
